Christy asked me to update you all on her progress. Christy is still recovering (now at home). She needs to be away from the computer for a little while, she can not really focus on a computer screen at this time. She lost a significant amount of blood after the birth but over time and with the assistance of iron rich foods will recover soon. Olive is doing great. She has been gaining weight, sleeping, pooping and nursing well. I will get some additional photo's on soon. Thank you all and I know Christy is composing Olive's story in her head and will share with you all soon. Thanks for being such loyal readers.

Christy should not worry about us one teensy bit! Rest up and take care of those kids. When she's good and ready we'll be here but we sure can wait. Hope things continue to go well. :)

Nick, please make sure someone is taking care of YOU, too? You are every bit as important to all of us as are Christy, Elias and Olive.
Sending prayres and good wishes from DE. :)

Christy, with the holidays, major surgery, a newborn in your house,an impending move, crazy hormones, you get a "pass" from posting for as long as you want.
You did good, girl!

Thanks for the update Nick, and really, Christy worrying about posting one of her epic and lovely stories should be at the bottom of her list! I hope that Elias is doing well too - and all of you really as you weather a new baby, health recovery for Christy, the holidays, moving, etc. You have a LOT on your collective plates.
Merry Merry to all of you - I am in utter bliss-land just thinking of the lovely arrival of Baby Olive.

I would like to add one minor suggestion : DONUTS. I moved my entire houshold (well...hubby did it but it sure was stressful for all of us!) The days bfore during and after the birth of my Holly. Our lease was up on the 31st and she was born the 29th. Donuts were a big fortifier of my spirit during this time. ;) May I humbly suggest the powdered sugar lemon filled?

Thanks so much for the update, Nick - I send many healing thoughts your way, filled with iron. She needs all the energy she currently has for feeding little Olive and sharing with Elias. She can write when she is stonger. Also, with a move in your near future, don't hesitate to let me know if you need extra hands for packing and moving. I am able and available until Jan 4th. Love and hugs to all and enjoy your first Christmas together as a family of 4.
