Hurrah!! Two cheers for little boys with their conflicting impulses of friendship and war. May friendship trump.

My little brothers weren't allowed toy guns, and didn't know anyone who used real ones - but still built their own pretend ones (out of wooden clothespins!) What is it with little boys that like things that explode?? Anyway, they grew up to be peaceful men, and I hope that will be true of Elias' friend.

And isn't 'friend' a welcome word? Great to hear!

How wonderful!! I want to give that little boy a hug, too =).

Aww! :)

This story really touched me. I hope you won't mind if I comment further on my own blog.
