Its been five years since we made it to New Smyrna Beach Florida to visit my parents in March. We fly out on the red-eye tomorrow and will hopefully arrive in time for the sunset on Tuesday.
Unfortunately, Nick won't be traveling with us due to his new job starting Wednesday and his recent surgery.
But lucky for me, his Mom has volunteered to take his ticket and unlike a lot of people who seem to only tolerate their Mother-in-laws, I love mine.
We will miss Nick of course, but I'll be in good company.
And I get to be with my Mom and Dad.
And the kids get three of their four fabulous hands-on grandparents to build sand castles with and jump waves. I might even get to read a book. Or at least start one.
And really, I just can't wait to walk outside with my kids without the snow-pants-coat-boots-hat-gloves routine.
Ahh, life at the beach.
Here we come...
Awesome!!! Have a great trip! Hope you do get some down time :)

Enjoy the freedom of less clothing and more helpers!

There'a something about being at the beach with grandparents within reach that makes me wonderfully relaxed, knowing there are extra arms and attention moments away. Enjoy!

I'm here. Without a computer, just my phone, so unable to really post. But life is good:)

Back in AK early this morning and I miss the beach and my parents already though its good to be home. Will post pics and write something soon. Oh yeah, and the picture from this post is obviously taken at sunrise and not sunset but I can be a bit airy at times:)
