Happy Friday And Saturday to My Friends in The East
After a work week that left me feeling like a sunken vessel
with the scattered shards of children's stories
trapped inside.
My daughter drew this:

No its a ball. Elias and I are playing catch under a rainbow.
Love--it's all we need.

the stories of our shared students can be heart breaking... our district says "kids aren't performing well academically, let's make them take more tests, let's train those pesky teachers with more PD from outsiders and things will improve." yet, us insiders know - we need a full time social worker, another counselor, smaller class sizes and... love. :)
