Who knows what the next tide will bring.
We are all the shells, the seaglass, the driftwood, being taken for a ride.
The young American-born woman, walking to school, wearing a hijab, turning away from the bitter mouths that scream, "Go back where you came from!"
The young work-boot clad man, walking the fields, wearing the red hat, ignoring the newsfeeds that claim him as an ignorant racist.
The man in the red hat, the woman in the hijab walk the same shore I walk.
Watch the same sunrise.
As a tsunami threatens to flood this place we call home.
Well said!
