The sun rises earlier here, and this morning found me barefoot on the beach at 7:00 am, searching for shells, filling my pockets with broken pieces rolled smooth by the salted sea.
I'm not sure what I love more, the warm air or the solitude, the sand in my toes or the ability to walk out the door as my children sleep-- knowing if they rise the house is full of relatives to care for them.
We are in New Smyrna Beach, Florida, with Nick's parents and mine, for ten days of family time.
And no amounts of clouds can mute the sunshine.
Looks like paradise!
